(Not in story mode)

So I got my CE today... but my new laptop hasn't come in yet SO I'm still unable to play the game, and I'm upset about it...
There was some good that came out of the arrival of the CE though: the JOURNAL. It's beautiful and amazing and way better quality than I expected. I might spend like 200 more dollars and buy a few CEs just to have more of the journals - cause they're THAT awesome.

Another good thing that came out of the CE coming before the laptop is that I started a fan fiction branching off of the Wood Wailers that live in Gridania. I've got a good intro going, and when I have enough to make like an intro or 1st chapter, I'll share it with everyone. I'm pretty excited for it so far. The main character is MY character, Rykirae Arkenilzt - but with a different life than what I'll have him doing when I play FF14 (someday....)

So *cheers* for the game getting here, even though I can't play it yet.

The Calm Before The Storm

And they trekked for days through the fields and the mountains, the forests and the plains, and finally the mines and the caverns, and they knew that less than a day away was the coming of the horizon that would reveal that land which they had waited so long to set their eyes on. That land which they had forsaken their homes of old to search for and prosper in. Eorzea they called it, and much to Rykirae's anxiety, the elements and spirits around him and his group fell silent - for they knew that when the traveling group stepped over the final hill to feast their gaze on the new world, the calm before the storm will come to and end, and an entire new journey will begin.

The Army's Banner

Days pass as Rykirae feels his destination growing ever so close. Being one of the newest members among his Moogle brethren - it was his duty to carry the colors, and carry them he did all the way to Eorzea. Every new members was charged with carrying the colors so that an internal sense of pride was instilled in them, and when it was time to pass the colors on the memory of carrying them and being a representative to the Moogle clan would never be forgot. Over the years the colors have changed and during this time that Rykirae joined the clan the colors were themed with green as a center. The flag was in a proper shape and looked like it belonged on a flag pole, but the only remaining example we have at the moment is a tapestry made for decorative uses - behold The Moogle Army's Fall of 2010 banner.

Just under eight days remain until Rykirae and his Moogle brethren are scheduled to arrive in Eorzea... a day that cannot come soon enough.

Double Rainbow

The dawn came slowly, peaking over the horizon and the beaming rays kissed Rykirae's face with a warm embrace. His eyes felt the warmth and the brightness forced them to open and squint as they tried to make out the morning that slowly surrounded him. There was a moisture in the air and as the sun climbed into the sky, Rykirae's eyes fell upon a sight rarely seen by those who sleep under the stars and awaken only by the sun's sweet kiss. Rykirae stood still as he witnessed two arches of many colors branch across one side of the sky to the other in a radiant and majestic beauty, it was a double rainbow the likes of which he had never seen before. He though to himself, "What could it mean?" and his gaze continued on for moments more that came to feel like hours. After his eyes were satisfied, Rykirae gathered his things and continued on his way - there were still eleven more days of traveling until he reached the land of Eorzea.

Meeting the Troops in MA

As Rykirae waits for his body to materialize into the world of Eorzea, he wanders about the forum and threads in the MA homepage. With hopes held high and a grin on his face, Rykirae reaches out to his fellow MA members and tries his best to make acquaintances with as many of them as possible. The social atmosphere seems to be very friendly so far which gives the newest recruit of the Army a sense of acceptance this early in his time with the aspiring group.

With veterans from other worlds ready to take on a new adventure, Rykirae follows their lead along with other new recruits in anticipation for the release of what is expected to be an amazing and breathtaking ride. New sights to see, new cities to explore, new landmasses to marvel at - all these and more elements of Eorzea have captured the hearts and minds of new adventurers old and new.
For now, Rykirae does his best to meet his fellow MA members and establish a strong foundation upon which to build repour, friendship, and memories to last for years to come.

The Beginning

Today, Monday the 6th of Sept, 2010 @ 5:10 pm, I start my blog of my travels trough the world of Eorzea.
They haven't started yet as I am still waiting for the game to come to me in the mail. I am deployed so I won't be getting it as fast as everyone else will, but I am ok with this because I'm also waiting for a new laptop to come that will be able to play the game way better than the one I have right now.

What I might end up looking like.

What I look forward to the most about the game is taking pictures and posting them on the Moogle Army website so that I can track my adventures starting as soon as I enter the game. I have ideas to make not only slide shows with myself and other MA members but also to make a video to publish on youtube of MA activity and conquests. Down the road as we look back on our lives its always a great feeling to be able to see what we've done and what got us to where we are today. If simply taking screen shots while playing the game helps us accomplish that feeling, then snap away!
